De-Stress Fest '08, held April 16 in Bowles Plaza on the Danforth Campus, proved to be a popular diversion from the rigorous demands of the academic year's final weeks.
SHAC Programs
- Student Health Services’ Online Survey: During the Fall, SHAC assesses students’ perceptions about Student Health Services and the students’ health related needs.
- Self-Care Campaign: Students are given tips on how to take care of themselves and prevent cold/flu.
- De-Stress Fest: Students participate in activities to relax and learn more about taking care of themselves.
- Sexual Responsibility Week: During Sex Week, students are exposed to a variety of activities to provoke dialogue about safer sex.
- WU Peer Health Network: The network serves as a roundtable discussion forum for other health-related student groups to share their insights about health issues on campus.
- Alcohol and Other Drugs Awareness Day: Students receive information on how to drink responsibly, how to avoid drug use and/or discontinue drug use.
- We’ve Got You Covered: The goal of the We've Got You Covered campaign is
to promote safer sex by providing students with free, reliable access to
both contraception and sexual health information. This is accomplished by
providing participating residence halls with “safer sex packets,” which
contain 20 envelopes with two condoms and optional sexual health fact
sheet. SHAC refills the packets once month. The campaign is supported by Student Union, Residential Life, and Student Health Services. - CHEERS to the Designated Driver
