Tips to Stay Healthy on Campus
The Big Picture
- Eat a balanced diet and drink plenty of water
- Try to get 7-9 hours of sleep per night
- Find a physical activity you enjoy and do it regularly
- Make time to relax
Protect Yourself
- Cough/sneeze into your sleeve -- not into your hands
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth
- Wash your hands with soap and water or use an alcohol-based gel hand-sanitizer
Sharing is not Always a Good Thing:
- Keep your toothbrush covered and don’t share toothpaste
- Use a disinfectant to clean surfaces in your room/apartment if your roommate is sick
- Drink from your own can/cup/bottle (and no, beer does not kill germs).
If you’re sick, stay home. Don’t share your germs!
