Allergy Injections

HHWC offers continuous care for students receiving an allergy injection prescribed by an allergist. 

Students obtaining allergy treatment services from HHWC must present a printed, signed patient agreement Allergy Patients letter and a signed physician order as well as  the medication to be injected.

If you are just starting injections, we are unable to give your first allergy injection.  Please have your allergist give this in their office prior to coming to school.  In addition, if you are a returning student, we are unable to give you an injection if you have not continued to receive them throughout the summer at your allergist's office. 

Allergy injections are given only by appointment.  Students may schedule appointments to receive their injections by calling 314-935-6666, option 0. Appointments are available as follows during summer (extended hours available during academic year):

  Allergy shots will be given on: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

These appointments require a 30 minute waiting period following injection. Your first allergy shot appointment includes an evaluation by one of our medical providers which will take an extra 15 min. Please make your appointment accordingly. There is a charge for missed appointments.

You must have an epi pen in your possession at the time of your allergy shot and carry it with you throughout the day.  If you do not have it with you, your appointment may have to be rescheduled. Please keep it in your back pack at all times.

Students are responsible for having their allergy vials shipped here and back to their allergist's office in the summer.
