Information for Recently Graduated Students
It is important to consider your health insurance coverage after graduation from Washington University. You will automatically remain on the Washington University student insurance plan until August 1, 2011 and have the option to purchase it for 9 months after that (see the Aetna / WUSTL website for additional information). This year, because of changes in the law that may allow coverage until age 26, many students will also have the option for coverage on their parent’s health insurance. Each graduate and their family should look at all of their options and decide what is best for them.
